TeenAge Pregnancy and Parenting Program

The TAPP Program at Central was developed to help teen parents address the struggles that they will encounter with their health, education, social relationships and finances.

There are two TAPP classes that are offered. The first is a TAPP Family and Consumer Science class the gives students the life skills that will help them run a home successfully. The second TAPP class is a seminar class that helps engage the parents in discussions with other parents and puts our students in contact with community resources including Early Childhood teachers and a Public Health nurse.

Another resource that Central provides for TAPP students with the help of United Way is an on-site daycare. This allows the students regular contact with their children throughout the school week.
