Arts and Literature I

Arts and Literature is a newly developed 12th grade English elective which focuses on how an artist or authors chosen medium has the opportunity to shift perspective. Can a comic book have the same literary impact as an important American novel? Can a chair in a classroom be considered art, or is there more to it? Students will be challenged to form their own opinions and support them through various lessons and activities. This course has a strong writing component built in to assist students in fine tuning their written communication skills before graduating high school.
